Questions to Ask Before Scheduling Scrap Tire Service

· By Stricco International LLC

A short conversation before scheduling can prevent delays later. Use these questions to make sure the pickup plan reflects your tires, location and service needs.

Questions about the load

What tire types do you have, how many are ready, and are they loose or mounted? Are large agricultural tires or other specialty tires included? Is any non-tire material mixed into the pile?

If the count is uncertain, provide a reasonable estimate and say how it was calculated. A photo may help the provider assess access or unusual tire sizes.

Questions about the site and timing

Where will the tires be staged? Can collection equipment reach the area? Are there gate hours, narrow access points or contact requirements? Who will be present to confirm the load?

Ask how the pickup window is confirmed and what to do if your volume or site access changes.

Questions about records and next steps

What paperwork will be provided after pickup? How should your team retain it? If your business needs recurring service, what information helps set an appropriate schedule?

Rules and paperwork can vary by state, role and destination. Check the current agency guidance for your shipment and retain the records required for your business.
