Set a cadence around real tire volume
Review how quickly tires accumulate at each location and how much space is available. A busy shop may need more frequent service than a small facility. Use actual weekly or monthly volumes to choose a starting schedule, then adjust it as seasons and business levels change.
For multi-location operations, record each site’s address, access instructions, contact person and typical tire mix. Separate location details help prevent missed stops and improve route planning.
Make pickup day predictable
Choose a staging area that is reachable by the collection vehicle and does not block customer parking, fire lanes or daily work. Let staff know how tires should be staged and who can confirm the load.
A consistent point person can report changes early, such as a temporary closure, unusually large volume or restricted access. That makes it easier to adjust the plan before the truck arrives.
Use service records to improve the plan
Compare expected volume with what was removed and note any missed or rescheduled visits. Over time, those records can show whether a location needs a different cadence or a separate arrangement for large tires.
